FYI(and in response to recent calls for info on recent/imminent openings), two new places are opening soon in my yuppie 'hood on Southport north of Addison. Most exciting is the first US branch of the Austrian cafe Julius Meinl on the NE corner of the aforementioned streets. I'd love to hear from anyone who has had coffee and pastry at a Meinl in Austria. Also, accross from Cullen's, the same owner is opening a NO style bar called Blue Bayou. Cullen promises to have raw oysters in the Acme tradition. His bar food is pretty good, so I'm optimistic. Also, Fogo de Chao opens in August according to an e-mail I got from their management in Brazil. Can't wait.
