Why does my souffle taste eggy?

I made my very first souffle and it has a very pronounced egg taste. It even smells like egg. It was supposed to be a vanilla souffle. The texture is alright. It also cracked at the top. What went wrong? How do I fix the eggy taste in my next one? Thanks guys.
