Solo dining in Tokyo?

Any good suggestions for Japanese food for those dining alone in Tokyo? My spoken Japanese is poor, but with plastic food displays and pointing to other diner's meals, that doesn't worry me too much.

Some suggestions for starters:
Kushiage Isomura, 2 locations in Ginza, sit at the counter and watch them make wonderful things on skewers. English brochure at reception desk. Set meals or Omakase available, so no menu is really needed. See link below.

The Beer Hall at Ebisu Garden Palace (sorry, I don't know the name). There's a big round communal table in the center of the place and, if I remember correctly, photos on the menu. Food is OK, atmosphere is fun.

Any conveyer belt restaurant.

And, of course, the amazing department store basements...

Any other suggestions of particular places, or styles?
