I know that with most places in Manhattan it is a good idea to get a reservation, especially with a group of people. What I'm wondering though, is how many of the restaurants that reservations are normally recc for around this board would really require a reservation for a solo diner?
I'll be in Manhattan in about a month for a conference, and will most likely be dining alone most of the weekend I am there. Due to the conference's lack of schedule, i'm not sure when i'll actually be timing several meals, so am hesitant about reservations.
also, are there some places that you might recc over others for a solo diner? i'm especially looking for good lunch spots, and will be staying in midtown and the conference is at the Javits center (but am willing to take a cab for delicious dinners!)
oh, i guess i should also note that I am not against any style or type of food, and always willing to try new things! but the old standbys are good too. Would rather avoid suggestions for a burger and fries, but if thats what yall feel is best, you know the city better than i do!
