I ate dinner last night at a relatively new Japanese restaurant on 20th Street called Mizu. Its a few notches above the usual places, kind of upper middle level, neither Nobu, nor daikichi.
I've eaten lots of Japanese food but I had something there that I had never seen before. It was a spicey scallop maki roll but the wrapper was not nori as I know it. It was striated dark and light green and both soft and crunchy- excellent!
Its been a chowhound Easter.
