We had lunch today at Smoke. For the sandwiches, they won't accommodate you on side swaps, even with my offered upcharge. Sandwiches come with fries, slaw, or tater tots. If you want baked beans or mac n cheese, it's a no can do. I find this to be not so customer friendly.
BBQ pork sandwich ($12) is pretty good and a healthy serving. It's not overly smokey but on par with any other real deal bbq joint. Sauces come on the sandwiches but I always prefer it on the side. There's an NC vinegar, NC mustard, and the house sauce. The vinegar combined with either of the 2 go fine together. Cole slaw is good but the baked beans are really good. At $6 and for the size, I felt the baked beans were steep.
Next time I will try the ribs. Most of the menu is higher priced than other Q joints, but this is Delray after all. It's kind of an odd fit in to the Delray scene, so I'm not sure how it will do. Lunch hours are weekends only and they don't open until noon.
