So I was away for a few days and came back to find a verry expensive tub of mascarpone which I'd decided against using for a dinner party dessert and then forgotten.
The expiration date seems to be August 8 or 9 (can't make it out for certain). I am usually pretty lax about sell by dates but wondered if anybody had any info such as "OMIGOD, mascarpone goes bad seconds after the expiration date and will kill you (after you suffer horrible pain and agony!"
I wanted to use it tomorrow to make a tarte (so it'd be cooked).
