Shelf life of soaked kidney and black beans

chowmoose | Oct 4, 2009 09:31 AM

I soaked some black and kidney beans using the "quick soak" method, boiling them for a couple minutes, then soaking for an hour. I didn't do a dry-to-wet conversion and ended up soaking twice as many beans as I needed. I drained the extra beans, put them in plastic containers, and stored them in the fridge for "future use". It's now been almost a week.

Should I throw them out, or will they be safe for a few more days yet?
