Ok. I finally tried something here besides the boneless tea-smoked duck. The turnip cake was good, the beef with scallions great (although my wife would only share one small bite), and the oysters with spicy salt only fair. The standout of the evening was a chowhound recommendation from a few posts down, the homestyle egg drop soup. Rich, satisfying, tasty broth with fresh veggies, rice noodles and a separately packaged omelette to add. Absolutely satisfying.
My question: what do y'all recommend for a good spicy dish at shangri-la. And I mean really spicy.
