I'm looking for a butcher in Calgary that stocks Wild Boar - My first choice is Second to None, but they are having trouble getting in touch with their supplier. I'm looking for an 8-10lb bone in leg roast for this weekend. I plan to slowly spit-roast it over an open fire.
In the event that I can't get boar on time - Any suggestions on alternatives species / cuts? I'm looking for something interesting (not beef/pork) that I can get easily in the next few days.
