Hi folks,

When I was in Washington DC for a summer a few years ago, I found a little place in Arlington, VA, that had the most amazing roast chicken. Juicy, tender, wonderfully flavored, this was the best roast chicken I have ever had, then or since. It was totally unassuming -- cafeteria style, with a walk-up counter, rows and rows of chicken spitted, turning, and roasting behind the cashiers. The only thing you could order was chicken -- quarter, half, or whole. The only sides were fries (to be dunked in a mayo sauce), or coleslaw. I liked incan cola (tastes like bubble gum) to cut the richness of the chicken. I must have eaten there at least twice a week, despite the constant lines out the door. I think it was called El Pollo Rico, and was Peruvian -- anyone heard of it?

Since then, I've been looking around in every city I've been for something similar. Anyone know of a place in or near Seattle that has this?

Much appreciated.

Dave
