Scollay Square

Stopped by last night for light dinner outside on the patio. My meal-mate and I had great seats...and it was packed inside (from what I could tell, lot's of members of the Old Boys Network).

Had a nice glass of their Pinot Grigio...didn't try any of their extensive cocktail list...too hot. Had the 'wedge salad' for starter...basically a whole head of iceberg lettuce, lemon vinagrette, blue cheese, tomato and crumbled bacon. Honestly, by 1/2 way through...I felt like the proportion of lettuce to other yummy bits was a little off. Too much lettuce? Great/safe combination...but I couldn't finish.

Followed up with the steamed mussels...also good but a bit on the gritty/sandy side. It also came with a butter dipping sauce rather than a lot of broth and grilled bread- which is my fave.

It's a safe bet...welcome addition...but nothing spectacular.
