saving a great cutting board

I received an expensive bamboo end cut cutting board last year. Then I moved from humid Florida to a dry apartment in DC. I travel a lot so my use of the board has been llimited. The cutting board has developed a split in the middle of the board. It runs through three of ten layers and extends about six inches in from one end of a 24 inch length. I have access to sufficient clamps, but need some guidance on how to prep the surface to ensure a good seal and adherance.

I am looking for recommendations on how to save this beautiful board. Obviously I have learned some lessons about cutting board maintenance, especially in a dry environment. Any suggestions are more than appreciated.
