I am making split pea soup. I ran out to get dried split peas from Whole Foods, and purposely got more than I knew I would need for the soup, so I can the rest as a vegetable at a later date.
Well, I came home, dumped the entire bag into a colander and rinsed them all off.
I definitely do not need all that I bought for the soup, as I won't have room in my frig or freezer for even one extra jar of soup.
Can I somehow save the now-wet split peas which I wanted to use at a later date?
What should I do with them?
