A couple of weeks ago, I had wonderful sautéed Sichuan hard shell crabs at Golden Mall in Flushing. There used to be wonderful sautéed hard shell crabs available here -- at the long-gone Vietnamese crab house on Wilson Boulevard in Arlington (the one with outdoor dining in a boat-like awning) had them several different ways, black bean sauce, in chili sauce. The long-gone Galaxy Restaurant in Falls Church had great sauteed crabs in black bean sauce.
They must still be here somewhere, but I've done a lot of googling and can't find a single place with sautéed hard shell crabs. The last mention I can find of sautéed crabs is a 2006 review here on Chowhound by Steve of Restaurant Mai in Eden Center, which seems to have closed so long ago that there's no longer any other mention of it on the Internet.
Does anyone know of anywhere to get sautéed crabs in the DC area? I guess I could easily cook them at home, using the little live blue crabs from H Mart, Grand Mart, or the Great Wall, but I'm a hypocrite -- the process of killing the blue crabs tends to take away my appetite.
