Santino's lunch

Just Larry | Jul 25, 200510:41 PM

Saturday lunch was at Santino's. They have been open 11 months but I just noticed it. There was even a review of it on Chowhound and I didn't see it either. We shared alot of Tapas. The Spanish Tortilla which is like a baked Omelette, Antipasto with the mystery meats and cheeses but for $2.00 enjoyable., Cheese and Olives was 4 sticks of 3 different cheeses. All were good and went well with the Sangria. Empanada of Spinach was decent. I forgot to order the Russian Potato Salad but from the previous review, I guess I was lucky.

The staff all worked at Alejo's Pasta Factory so they serve the Chopped Italian Salad, Eggplant Mama Mia and some other dishes borrowed from the Pasta Factory menu. It was cheap and filling but I would not say that it was particularly good. Not sure yet if I will be back. They have lots of spirit and do have table service now but nothing is all that good. They do have a huge sandwich menu that may be worth checking out.
