we're heading to sanibel island at the end of april for a week. we're staying in a condo at ocean's reach. kids are 4.5 yrs old and 18 months old. oldest kiddo eats pretty much anything/everything. 18 month old has entered a picky phase (sigh). no food allergies.
the plan is to stop for groceries before heading over to sanibel.
once on the island, i think we will do breakfast and lunches at the condo and head out for dinner.
i'm looking for:
1. family friendly restaurant recos. both kids are in bed early so that means we're eating dinner pretty early too. we'll probably be at restaurants by 5 - 515 pm. kids are well behaved but are still young so waiting around for food will be a recipe for disaster. not looking for anything fancy but would like it to be tasty! we love seafood (and don't get much fresh seafood in toronto!). also - i'm allergic to biting bugs so we're looking for indoor seating to avoid the no-see-ums during dinnertime.
2. recos where we can grab take-out and/or prepared foods for either lunch or dinner. i've noted down jerry's and bailey's and the farmers market ... wondering if there are any other places?
i've done a search and gone through a bunch of threads but it seems many of the related content is pretty old (i.e. 2007). hoping for some updated recos here.
