San Diego - Where Have You Dined - 2021

Glad to see restaurants and bars buzzing again.

In addition to my favorites like Whiskey House and several other places, this past Friday I went for lunch at Fogo de Chao on 6th. I know it's a large corporate chain, but they do have a nice lunch special. At the opening of business, the tables were about 3/4 full.

For $15.00 you get the Market Place Buffet, you can make as many trips to the buffet as you wish. Generally, I'm not a fan of buffets (at least the old way), but this was very safe and sanitary.

This is a very good deal.

The prosciuitto, soppressata and cheeses are worth the $15..00 by themselves.

In addition to the large choice of grilled veggies, marinated giant beans, many other salads, olives etc, they also offer nice chicken salad with large chuncks of breast meat, soup and a black bean and chorizo dish.

All must sanitize their hands, wear food service gloves, before entering the line, plates are handed to individuals by the staff where tongs are used to pick up food. Finally disposing of the gloves before returning to your table. The process worked very well and was tightly observed by the staff.

Also, it's happy hour all day, so drinks were a good value.
