and am getting great recs for the Bay Area and South Bay. However, I'll also be in and around Sebastopol, plus travelling from there to Sacramento and then up to Georgetown, a little town between Placerville and Auburn.
I mostly want to focus on inexpensive or midscale ethnic, especially Indian, Thai, Vietnamese, and other SE Asian, Mexican and other Latin American. But most important are places that are destination worthy -- ie, that are worth a trip in and of themselves. I gave this example on the other board, but I recently made a "side trip" to Houston during a BBQ trip to Austin to visit Vieng Thai. That's a four hour drive for dinner. And it was worth it.
I've mostly explored Sacramento's Mexican foods in the past and really enjoyed myself. Anything new and especially interesting? (See link for my last serious explorations.)
Also would love to hear suggestions for any areas along the way from Sebastopol to Sacramento or from Sacramento to the South Bay.
