I had inquired on this message board about The Rosa. Well, last Wednesday evening, shortly before 5 we sat at the bar. We had a drink and an order of steamed PEI mussels. It was served along with a warm loaf of crusty bread for dipping in the sauce. The garlic was abundent in the sauce (perfect). That was so good, we decided to opt for appetizers instead of dinner. We had Stuffed Clams, not like what we have here in RI, but very good and loads of chopped clams in them. Next we ordered crab cakes and they were also delicious. The bartender made some wonderful small talk (the Sox and the World Series, what else!!!). We went back to our lodging feeling very content. If you decide to go, it's probably a good idea to get there before 6, as the bar fills up. Also, take note of the old handcarved bar.
