Our final stop in Ensenada in June 2017 before leaving the city was at Rolling's Helado Artesanal en Rollo in the Ventana al Mar park on El Malecon. It specializes in the Thai-style of rolled ice cream.
This was my first experience with this type of ice cream that's mixed and frozen on a palette before your eyes
One does need to be patient, as the process of mixing the ice cream base with the desired flavor ingredients, turning on the freezing tray, then scraping up the rolls takes more than three minutes to make one serving.
This was frutos del bosque (forest fruits) with granola topping for 30 pesos. It's good ice cream with true, direct flavors and buttery richness.
I made a youtube of the freezing and rolling process:
Besides this stand on El Malecon, Rolling's has also opened another outlet on Avenida Aldama.
