Has anyone tried Rock and Roll Sushi on Canyon Road in Beaverton? A friend has been begging me to try it for a while, and I finally went last night. I'm not really a sushi connoisseur, but I was pretty impressed. I'm also worried: it was pretty empty, so I'm concerned about whether they'll survive.
We had some torched nigiri sushi that was really good--I'm not generally a fan of cooked sushi, but this was just singed on the top and uncooked beneath that. The nigiri was mostly sold by the piece at about $2-$3 per piece. The quality of the fish seemed pretty good to me. They had some standard rolls, but I don't remember the price on those. Their special rolls were pretty big at about 8-10 pieces and about $10-$12 each. We had one of those (the flying dragon) which was attractively presented like a dragon with a face and a tail and tasted pretty good (not as good as the torched nigiri, however).
Unfortunately I wasn't as hungry as usual so I couldn't sample more items. I'd like to hear if others have gone to it.
This is in the former Sushi & More location at 10325 SW Canyon Rd, but the person I went with had been there before and said that it was now a very different restaurant.
