Brave New Restaurant - overpriced, over-rated in the local press, and not particularly flavorful. The chocolate brulee wasn't very rich either...

Star of India - as one of the few (if only) Indian restaurants in Little Rock, this place is always hopping. However, the food is delicious and never a let down...

Cotham's for hamburger's but DO go to the Scott location and make a day of it checking out antebellum historical sites unless you like rubbing shoulders with the local politicians downtown..

Sekisui off Markham is overrated for japanese and the ginger/soy dressing is much too strong on the salads. Overpriced...

Italian Couple Restarant on 3rd near the capitol. Another media darling that was not impressive. The place is crowded, the staff rushed, the atmosphere frantic and the food only so-so, and over priced as well...

For great Italian in an intimate setting, cruise out of the way to Kiehl Avenue in Sherwood on the North Little Rock side and eat at Zaffino's. It has never disappointed. The staff is small and attentive, the atmosphere quiet and lovely, and the dark chocolate creme brulee is to die for! I try to eat it every time I get back to the area to visit.....

For hearty Chinese buffet with EVERYTHING, head north on 67/167 to New China Buffet at the Main Street exit in Jacksonville. Everyone can find something they like, be it Chinese, American, or even some dim sum...

The best place for catfish and all the fixings is still Grandpa's Catfish House. The new location isn't as homey as the little old building that they used for 30 years, but the food is still great..... near McCain Mall in North Little Rock....

Community Bakery, another media darling, perhaps due to the owner's political connections, but the cakes are very mediocre...

Pizza should be from US Pizza Company, with various locations and DO try the salad with everything and house dressing. Its a meal in itself!! The pizza is crispy and thin and they have some unique and great combo pizzas....second best pizza with a great lunch buffet is in old Sherwood called Gadwall's pizza. Its yummy too!

Lily's Dim Sum Then Some...not really dim sum, barely Asian, only asian influenced with a tiny menu, overpriced. The pad thai wasn't even close!!
