Ritual: decent new place in Worcester

Friend and I were going to the Palladium on Sat. and walked by Ritual a couple doors down on Main St. Looked kind of cool but we wanted to try People's Kitchen/Citizen but too jammed. Came back to eat at Ritual's bar (short wait for a table) and had some really good stuff. First, they have some cocktails at $5 and $7 and I couldn't see the difference between those and the $9-12 ones. Had a tasty lychee "martini" in a very cool glass. Friend's Harpoon IPA was warm-ish so she gave him a cold glass but not really proper glassware. Menu is very Mediterranean oriented, lots of small plates. Ordered ricotta stuffed fried olives w/ bacon and those were absolutely delicious, $6.95. Too bad the octopus was chewy, and the plating was a little spare. We'd been told they were out of that so we got oysters stuffed bacon and crab and those were decent, ended up with the octopus for free cuz of the confusion. Pesto prosciutto pizza was very tasty and a bargain at $9.95. Service was nice, esp. from one woman working the bar. Cool space, free valet (I think) and doing pretty well for only being open a short time.
