Review of Gotham B & G/Red Cat

Dinner Tuesday at an old favorite of mine, Gotham Bar & Grill. Dinner was average. Tuna tartare app is divine, one of my faves in NYC. As a main, I had the soft shell crab as per the waiters suggestion (sorry Henry, i disagree with you on that call). Soft shell was flavorless and tough as can be which had nothing to do with the servers idea (obvious) as there were many options that were more expensive and in my spectrum that he could have recommended. Husband had a pork tenderloin that was ok as well. Best tenderloin I have found is Babbo thus far. Overall. a C+ experience and would not rush back.
(makes me v.v.sad as i used tolove it down to the roll and french butter)
Dinner tonite at Red Cat on 23rd & 10th. Tempura string beans for table amazingly good. 3 of the group had the figs with ham which was amazing. Heirloom salad with feta also delicious. Skate entree was a little too fried when it was supposed to be pan seared striped bass also ok. Apps were amazingly good but would not rush back to this out of the way place as we live upper east. Was a pleasant meal for what it was without any expectations. Side was noisy to the point that it was unbearable to talk to your table mates (we were 5)

All the best in food and drink !!!
