I live near Bev Hills and WeHo, so I'm pretty central to lots of terrific dining options. But I've read more than a few times about restaurants in Pasadena that are said to be remarkable. Having only eaten up there one time (Saladang Song), I am not too knowledgeable about the options.
I have been reviewing previous posts, and the 3 that chowhounds endorsed/discussed most were Xiomara (though there were clearly dissenters), Yujean Kang's and Tre Venezie. I feel like I've read about others elsewhere, but I cannot recall the names.
Are any or all of the 3 of those worth driving out of your way for? Are there other spots that would be equally or more worthy of a trip to Pasadena?
We eat every kind of cuisine, but do prefer a restaurant with some ambience (i.e., not a super casual spot like Pie N Burger :).
Thanks in advance.
