I'm sure I'm not the only one here who either listens to the radio show or podcast by the Restaurant Guys. If you didn't have a chance to listen to the show they posted up yesterday, you might want to listen to it. They talk about blogging, bloggers and the relationship between the restaurant and the customer. If you don't know who they are, they're the owners of Stage Left in New Brunswick. They're pretty entertaining, they have great guests and they have interesting discussions. Anyways, here's the link for yesterday's show. If anyone else listened to the show, I'd like to hear what you thought of their comments. For my part, I can see their point as many times I'll see blogs where the blogger writes as if they have an axe to grind or where they seem to be revelling in their own cleverness when dicing up a restaurant. I usually treat reviews like ice skating scores: I toss out the low score--the meanest and snarkiest review, and the high score too--the most glowing review that might have been written by the chef's mother. The ones I consider are the considered ones that fall between the high and the low.
