In mid-March, when I will be visiting, it should still be cold enough for a good cassoulet. It seems that the restaurants that feature it in Montreal are au Pied de Cochon, lExpress, Le P'tit Plateau, all convenient since I will be staying in the Plateau. Are there any other recommendations? And among these three (or others) which are the best?
I understand that aPdC does it without bread crumbs and that their confit is not well-praised, but I dont know much about the others, except that by general reputation lExpress might be the best. Given the high quality of the confit at Le P'tit Plateau, perhaps they will give lExpress a run for their money, particularly since le PP is likely to be cheaper overall.
