I'll be visiting Toronto this coming weekend. Its not my first time to the city, usually visiting once a year for family reasons. Most of the time I use Eater, Google search, or family recommendations for places to eat. However it seems like a few of the active Chowhounders are Toronto-based and very active. With that I'd like to ask your assistance for the following:
*Staying in the northern suburbs (Vaughan) and would like a couple of recommendations for a good Chinese restaurant and somewhat accessible for English speakers. I feel like at the really good places I went to, my Chinese-Vietnamese friend was there to guide us through the menu. No preference on a regional style/cuisine, but I am keen on finding a good Chinese vegetarian place.
*What are the good Asian bakeries? I've heard of DUO from another thread.
*For bagels, my go to places are St. Urbain or this random place my aunt takes me to in York (can't remember the name). I'd like to broaden my choices on this trip.
*I'd prefer places in the northern suburbs but not opposed to go to other areas like downtown or Mississauga
