We are about to take a family trip (less than a week away!), and I've done lots of research on which restaurants to go to.
Now I'm trying to resolve a case of conflicting information. To reserve, or not to reserve? We are mostly sticking to modest and casual eateries. No michelin/fancy. Should we reserve in advance? For lunch? Dinner? Both? Or can we *generally* walk in, understanding there will be exceptions. We will likely be early on the timeline, since they eat late (for us). So 1230-1 for lunches and 7, 730 dinners.
If we do need to reserve, is the best way to show up the meal before or day before and do it in person, or on the phone using our pathetic Italian, or to ask our hotel/bnb hosts to do it for us?
