Just a note to the regulars:

While we encourage people to surf around before asking a question (to see whether the question's been answered), it's not a "mandatory" thing in general.

The problem is that we get a few queries over...and over...and over again. Brunch in Manhattan. What do you think of Jean Georges. Reservations at Nobu. Issues that have spawned literally hundreds of postings, followed, every couple of weeks, by ingenuous identical queries from newcomers.

If you're wondering where to get Phillipine purple yam cake and happened to have missed a short discussion of the topic 2 years ago on the Outer Boroughs board, NO SWEAT! It's not necessary (or even desirable) to avoid ALL replication, I'm just trying to control the brain numbing frequency of these more banal queries.
