After reading the thread below about Rob Walsh and his views on Mexican/Tex-Mex, while I thought the thread was interesting, I came away with one thought...
.I wonder how the food is at Las Llardas?
So I had their food for dinner with my wife. I tried the three things he described in his article. I agree with Rob that the Tlacoyos were really good. Certianly the best tasting and most interesting dish I had. We also tried the Pambazos and a torta cubana. These sandwiches were kinda weird. The Pambazos was a bit mushy and bland, and the sliced hot dogs on the torta cubana was just too much. While I normally agree with Rob's reviews, I gotta tell you, I would not go out of my way to eat here again. I'd probably stop by for lunch if I were in the neighborhood, but thats about it.
Oh, one good thing, the beer was COLD and CHEAP!
Anyone else try this place yet?
