stumbled upon Ariels last night in sunnyside, stopped because i remembered previous postings on the board. pizzas are excellent, and at similar prices to the dreck that passes for same across the river. thanks much for the heads up.
also had another stellar encounter at sripraphai. then again, i'd expect nothing less. stumbled into pearson's in a food coma a little later to find lots of elderly folks singing along to Sinatra. that combo'd with the smell of cue was intoxicating.
btw - empanadas de queso in the basement of the mall at 84th street (that cool guatamalan craft place, rudy volcano, is at the entrance) were superb served hot....$1.
question: Taco Veloz - the mini-chain strung out on Roosevelt - anyone got comments? if you can email me direct, much appreciated.
i really gotta move out there.
