Red Maple in Four Corners

A friend and I checked out the newish Red Maple in the old Fajita Coast location.

While I generally don't care about decor or atmosphere, this has to be one of the nicest restaurant interiors in Montgomery County, belying the ugliness of the exterior.

Now, the food. Red Maple features Chinese, Thai, and sushi, so I guess you'd call it pan-Asian. We got duck rolls (similar to Vietnamese summer rolls but featuring crispy duck) which were quite tasty. We followed with a Sapporo roll which featured two kinds of tuna plus salmon. It was good, but the flavors were not distinguished. Our entree was salt and pepper shrimp which we both like immensely. The shrimp were ultra-fresh and fried perfectly.

While not yet a destination restaurant, the food, service, prices, and convenient location will bring me back for further exploration.
