Recipes from Victor's Italian Restaurant

emiliegracehandmade | Dec 22, 201405:29 PM     6

Hi, All,
I am new to Chowhound, but I was wondering if anyone remembers Victor's restaurant. As I remember, the restaurant was downtown and then also opened a restaurant on Guadalupe. I spent many happy hours there as a child and young adult. The owner's name was Victor Nardecchia and his sons worked in the restaurant, too. What I wouldn't give for some of his recipes. Homemade ravioli, the best pizza crust I have ever had, the sauce!!!...anyone have any ideas? They also sold the best little nougat candy in boxes with Italian scenes on them. My grandmother told me that the family was going to put their recipes into a cookbook, but I don't know if that ever happened. Can anyone help??
