Recipe for authentic Italian cioccolatto caldo

(Apologies if I have misspelled it.)

Does anyone know how to make proper Italian hot chocolate? It's not just milk or cream mixed with an absurd amount of strong, melted semi-sweet chocolate (though that on its own is a very fine drink)). In many cases, it's sort of a cross between rich hot chocolate and a sort of light chocolate pudding. I assume it's somehow made with the frother attachment on the espresso machine. (Perhaps egg yolks, milk, chocolate all frothed together??)
