can i get real french foie gras here, or is there ban here of the importation of french foie gras, i'm not sure of this.
if there isn't then where can i get it.
shibucho on beverly blvd, yes a shibucho bar, if you can believe it actually had it and it was a good 50 bucks for like a one ounce portion or so, the best foie gras i've ever had.
sadly, he hasn't had it anymore, unless some have been here and know otherwise. (had a bunch of conversations with hime about foie gras and other food stuffs over the years, and also just as a sidenote, he said (take it for what you will), that most place around town that serve cooked or sauteed foie gras, serve sub-par foie gras because usually they cover the possible off taste of bad quality foie gras with a syrupy sweet fruit or other sweet sauce, just like the good old spicey tuna roll adage).
anyways, anywhere in LA, I can find this stuff or wait until france?
