Per recommendation on a Chinatown restaurant, we went to Rangoon. We would go back, but maybe not on a Saturday night. It was JAMMED and maybe service wasn't up to par b/c of this? I liked the noise and bustle of the restaurant, but the wait staff gave us wrong orders twice. Anyway: apps were thousand layer bread with potato and burmese wontons (not sure of the name of the latter). The burmese wontons were awful -- your basic fried wonton with sweet sauce on top, but the wonton was cold and chewy. Entrees: Mango chicken and chili spare ribs. Both good, though the Mango chicken was a lot better and my husband and I basically fought over it. The rice was terrific, dense, and tasty. We'll go back b/c we want to explore the menu...but we'll go on a Tuesday!
