Despite being there for years, Radius has received scant mention on Chowhound. It gets some deserved attention on Don Rockwell, though, and I finally managed to have dinner here.
The menu is spare but choice. Mostly a pizza place, with a selection of starters, two main pasta dishes, and some side vegetables.
We began with an arugula salad, cheddar bacon bites, and pickled vegetables. All were great. The pickled vegetable would fit in with a great meal anywhere. Gorgeous spicing. The 'bites' were rather large fritters, on a bed of cheddar sauce. The sauce, while good, wasn't necessary. The light and creamy fritters were terrific all by themselves.
The pizza here is damn good. It may be the best sit-down restaurant pizza in the area that is not Neapolitan. The thin crust could be better, but I don't mean to quibble with something this tasty.
Thumbs up all around.
