Rack and Roll BBQ Shack Redwood City

yimster | Mar 23, 201405:53 PM

Well the BBQ operation with the Lobster Shack had reopened at 20 Woodside Plaza.

Funny hours
4 till we run out
Very soon 11 till we run out

The clan had the Super Sized Squeal Meal.

1/2 a rack of pork ribs,
1/2 a chicken
1/2 lb of pulled pork
1/2 lb beef brisket
and Smoked Sausage. $54

Came with 2 sides

But we ordered all but one (potato salad) the sides coleslaw, beans collard greens, mac n cheese, skin on fires corn beard. The sides did not stand out. Either did the sausage I would have the others again.

The chicken was not over cooked yet tender. Same for the brisket and ribs. The q was good but needed the help of some sauce to complete the taste.

No signs of a smoke ring but neither did see steaming of the meats.

Service was very good and everything was served well and they came by often enough to meet our needs.

My overview is that I will come back and try something again while passing on others.

We also had a peach cobbler. That too did not stand out.

The food was good enough for a second visit.
