Three quick eats

Ate at the Acapulco on Centre St. in JP by So. Hunt. for the first time in many years. It was very pleasant, nice room and service. They had quite a choice of chicken, fish and meat dishes that were more adventurous ($10-15) but I went with a tex mex combo of a meat enchilada and chimichanga (sp?) w/ black beans and rice for $8.25. The chips weren't too exciting but the meal hit the spot (keeping in mind that I'm not much of a Mexican expert).

Down the street, hit Sorella's for some pistachio French toast ($4.99). The nuts were nice and embedded in the thick cut slices. Always such a hard choice as to which crazy combination of pancake, french toast or omelette to get there. A friend had a huge cheeseburger w/ grilled onions and spicy fries that looked good.

Had Fri. off so I figured this was the time to finally go to Sound Bites in Ball Sq. Somerville. Got the last table at 10:30 and went with more French toast, stuffed with cream cheese and apricot jam ($6.99). Tasted good and more important, no one screamed at anyone to get out after they finished their meal. But I made sure not to hang around in any case.
