I just bought my first fresh fava beans (already shelled). I've never cooked them before and I'm dying to try them tonight.
I don't have much on hand in the house, had been on vacation this past week and was ill the prior two so I never got to the market and the cupboard is rather bare.
I have a couple of boneless skinless chicken breasts I was going to cook up - haven't decided how yet and if I could utilize the beans it would be great.
I have some basic starches at home (pasta, gnocci, rice, couscous), some shallots, onions, garlic, mesclun salad, asparagus and bread now that I ran to the greenmarket. Oh, and a piece of goat cheese and a piece of gorgonzola.
Any ideas? I could throw together some kind of pasta dish or a salad?
