quick boston review

in the city for a few days and here is the good and bad...

started with happy hour apps at M+S with the mussels which were a bit sandy but hey, for the price... Then had a cheeseburger and fries which were also pretty good if you're looking for a quick, cheap bite to fill you up.

Dinner next night at PF Chang - was looking forward to this but left me disapointed. Had the chopped salad minus the chicken = not much flavor and too heavy on the mayo. Dinner was the szechuan(?) tofu with extra veggies. The tofu was weird, sort of crispy on the outside and mushy/oily on the inside. Veggies were pretty lame and the white rice tasted like the Uncle Ben's boil in a bag... Tried a ginger beer, which was interesting but you really have to like ginger to drink a whole beer imho.

Last night was take out from Via Matteo. Just wanted a simple pasta dish so the waitress recomended the past aioli...i forget the exact name, she said it was a bit spicy, which it was but good. I also was thinking it was going to be a garlic/evoo sauce but it was more of a light tomato sauce. Overall a very good dish, just not what I expected for sauce but that was probably my mistake. They also included some bread which was ok, but the pasta didn't have much of a sauce to glop it up with. Overall, that was my best foodie experience, even eating it in my hotel room...

Overall a good few days, but there sure are a lot of au bon pan's and starbucks that poped up since my last time there. Also got lots of free starbucks near the hynes on Tuesday as they were giving it away along with lots of coupons to promote their Pike coffee. Can't turn down a free coffee, if only I had known that D+D was also giving away a free donut with your coffee on April 15th... Thanks for the suggestions!
