A question for bakers of boozy treats.

First, I should say that I am not a brown liquor drinker. So, I have no experience of bourbon, which is an ingredient I'm considering in my holiday baking. I've never even had a bottle of it in the house, so I'm at a loss as to what to buy.

This is the first recipe that I'm planning on using bourbon in: http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/20...

So, my question is this: does it matter whether I buy Four Roses, Maker's Mark, Wild Turkey, Old Grand-Dad, or some unnamed bourbon out of the bargain bin?

If possible, I'd rather buy a pint than a 750 mL bottle. Again, I don't plan on ever drinking this.
