unfortunately very little in the way of new adventures, but our longtime favorites continue to please. recent trips to north, broadway bistro, los andes were as good as ever. ditto pizza stalwarts twins, rosa mia, catanzarro's, and nice slice.
finally had a chance to try the bbq at brutopia. greatly enjoyed the brisket sandwich and thought the smoked wings were tremendous. over the past few months VALHALLA has climbed to the top of my list of local beers. the revival tasting room downstairs is fun to pop into either before or after eating; very casual space with a pinball machine, cornhole, a hockey net (???), and good music playing on the turntable. enjoyed the ELDER DWELLER cocoa stout on tap and took home a few 22oz bottles along with my growler of valhalla.
hoping to try pizza j soon and wondering if anyone has been to ten rocks tapas bar in pawtucket? saw a mention of them in yesterday's journal; i don't know anything about cape verdean cuisine, but the food sounded and looked good.
