So it's that time of the year...boatloads of guests.
I broke down and said life's too short. I'm not handwashing all these P&P. I know the effects DW has on the exposed core of cookware...
A slight part of me was thinking, awesome. It's going to do a deep cleaning like back in the days when I used to put my cookware in the DW and it came out insanely spotless.
Some things I discovered after running my cookware in my DW on the P&P cycle.
LOL, even though I was expecting my cookware to come spit polished clean, it looks like there is some sort of haze film on the surface. I only say that as there are areas where there is this *light film*, and it' pure shiny SS below it. This is observed by the fact that I on a small area of the cookware, where this is not this film, you can see clean bright SS. Adjacent, where the SS is not as bright, I'm calling this the ~film~.
Rivet or rivetless cookware, where certain pans have the typical high heat gunk you get on the seams where the handle area is, it's cleaner, but not down to bare bones clean...
Anyhow, just blurbing out loud I suppose.
After see the shiney SS , as if there was no film versus film, I decided to BKF a couple pieces with no perceptible change .
I'm a OCD clean fanatic so now I'm on a quest to do a one time deep pot ~polisher cleaning~ even though I know the high heat sears will bring all the muck back . Time to swing by the local store to pick up some carbon off
