Provencal in Manhattan?

eepo | Sep 15, 2004 03:53 PM

I grew up in Los Angeles and would often enjoy eating at Pastis - a Los Angeles provencal styled restaurant (on Beverly Blvd b/t Fairfax and La Cienega). I would love to find a New York alternative, does one exist? I guess that question implies you have been to Pastis, and since that is probably not the case, a brief description of it may be necessary. It is: a moderately priced bistro (12 24 per entree) with all of the Provencal specials - the one i can remember so well i can almost taste is this fish stew that was nuts. Anyway, is there a moderately priced provencal style french bistro in New York worth checking out? Thanks in advance, eepo the jindo
