As recommended by many on this board, we went to Engine Company No. 28 for dinner before La Boheme. This turned out to be a very good choice. The place was bustling but we were seated immediately (we had a reservation). Service was prompt, bread was good, waiter was a little forgetful but charming, and food was yummy. My friend had meatloaf w/mashed potatoes and spinach and I had the always good fried chicken with some very crispy and good green beans. Good comfort food. The shuttle was a 5 minute wait after dinner and was waiting for us after the show.
