Post Valentine special dinner on a students' salary

Im a full time grad student at Hunter (read: Im poor) and Id like to treat my girlfriend, also a student, to a nice romantic Valentines dinner. (LUCKILY), she has to be out of town on Valentine's Day so we will be celebrating a few days late. Id like a place romantic and (hopefully) French, eclectic, or New American, no Italian or Sushi as we eat these almost everynight (no, Im not rich, I cook ALOT due to the Bush economy). Ideally, it would be a prixfixe multiple course dinner WITH wine (pairings if available)for no more than 50-60 per person. Bringing the grand total to 150 for a couple. And that would mean I would have to cook for the 3 weeks straight but shes worth it.
