Is there anywhere in the five boroughs (ideally Manhattan or Brooklyn) to get Portuguese muffins or Portuguese sweet bread? (I'd love both but will happily settle for the muffins.) In the parts of New England with considerable Portuguese populations(Rhode Island, New Bedford/Fall River, MA) you can get the muffins at every deli, but I've never seen them anywhere around here. I know Newark's Ironbound district is probably my best shot, but if there was anywhere closer than Newark to stock up, I'd be delighted to know about it.
